We Finally Have Traffic..

Well the vacation is over. After 6 days we have activity. They brought in the rig to drill a water well.
Along with the rig came rain and a bit of hail.. welcome to gate guarding.

We don't know the expected length of this gig but rumor has it from 2 to 8 weeks. It's a water well for gods sake how long can it take.....well we hope for the 8 week time cause we need to work as close to end of April as possible.

Generator (companies) started to give a bit of problem.. was like running out of gas but it would catch itself just before it would die altogether. Happened about 2 to 3 times a day. Load could be full or no load.. decided might be fuel filter...altho my experience says that a clogged fuel filter stays clogged, which will cause the engine to run bad all the time not intermittently.

Annyhoo we got the filter and while changing it hit the power wire for the fuel pump. Bingo someone had stuck the bare end of the wire into the connector end...DUH at least cut both ends and twist together. So after replacing the connector end and snapping together all is well.

The good news is when I was at the auto parts store I noticed a guy taking a pallet out behind the store and stacking it there along with others that were already there. bingo its in my truck and proudly now sits at the foot of the trailer steps. I did ask permission of course..

If you want to know the location of the pallets send me a note and I'll let u know......

  1. Hey, glad you guys got a gate after a wee break. We, too, have a pallet in front of our steps. Helps a bit with that first step up and knocking off any dirt, grass, whatever, on the shoes. Handy things, pallets, eh? Hope this gig keeps you busy for as long as you need it!
